Minimally Invasive Vascular Procedures

Newer techniques allow us to perform minimally invasive vascular procedures without surgery. These include use of a guide wire and balloon to open up arteries in the arms, chest and kidneys as well as the arteries to the lower extremities. Stents are sometimes used to hold the arteries open. Most of these procedures are performed as outpatient, meaning the patient leaves the day of the procedure.  Balloon and or stent/atherectomy (artery clean out with catheters) can be performed in our office or the hospital depending on individual patient’s needs.

“I was training for an Iron Man at the time. The day after the procedure I was back to running, swimming and biking and it made my legs look pretty.” – Jennifer Parker, nurse
